Recently, we had over 100 supporters visit Italy to experience this year’s Six Nations tournament. They witnessed Wales’ attempt to get revenge over Italy after their loss the last time these two sides met at the Principality Stadium.
Our Supporters visited three cities (Pisa, Florence, and Rome) and were able to explore each one to see the world-famous landmarks and drink in the local cultures. From the Leaning Tower of Pisa to the wine tasting in the Tuscan Vineyards to the hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour of Rome, everyone had the best chance to see whatever they wanted to during their time in Italy.
The main event couldn’t have been any better, 61,536 Italian and Welsh supporters packed into the Stadio Olimpico to watch Wales gain their first victory of the campaign, enacting revenge for their previous loss.
We caught up with some of our Supporters to hear what they thought:
“Excellent service, staff amazing went over and beyond to make sure the best time was had. The vineyard tour was the highlight, just wasn’t expecting this high standard. The room for lunch was beautiful! And a fabulous lunch too, the wine wasn’t bad either!” – Merryl Murphy
“We loved the wine tasting, not something we had ever done before but it was a brilliant addition to the itinerary. The tour guide on the walking tour of Florence showed passion and enthusiasm which was unrivaled, and his local knowledge and history stories brought to life the sights we saw.” – Jacqueline Ellis-Jenkins
“Great: MSG staff- the personal touch is very evident and greatly appreciated, the companionship of fellow supporters, the excursions and cultural stuff, and local tour guides were good. Hotel location and quality especially Rome.” – Tudor Young
This tour was the perfect Six Nations adventure!
Something that was proven by our feedback post tour. We asked everyone that travelled with us to let us know what they thought of their time away, this resulted in a huge average of 9.7/10 from the trip!
A great score that reflects the excellent trip.
